On the Gift of Healing, Part 1

Recently, I was in a fairly intimate group setting, and a person came forth who had a physical ailment, for which he needed God‘s healing touch.  Right away, I began to hear the group utter, “Where’s Hannah?  Hannah, come lay hands on him.”

First of all, let me just very candidly say that my initial response was, well, THIS. IS. AWESOME!!  I mean, just to be really honest about it, I loved the fact that I was in a group of people, whom I consider to be big time giants for the Kingdom, and they regarded me as “the anointed one” who could come and effectively usher God’s healing, through the laying on of hands.  Wow!!  Excuse me?  … Read the rest

The Importance of the Secret Place

There was once a time when I thought my “Quiet Time” with the Lord had to fit into a prescribed method.  In fact, when I heard about people who avidly set aside time in their “prayer closet,” I always wondered how they did things.  What was the magic structure that made the time right before God?

Was it, like…:

  • 3 minutes – reading daily devotional
  • 14 minutes – reading the Bible
  • 8 minutes – praying, (using the ACTS method, of course!!)
  • ADORATION (15 seconds)
  • CONFESSION (30 seconds)
  • THANKSGIVING (15 seconds)
  • SUPPLICATION (7 minutes)

And, not only that, but I thought my quiet time was “supposed” to take place at a certain time of the day — namely before the crack of dawn — a time in which my body just simply doesn’t seem to want to function!!… Read the rest

Mission Trinidad 2013

I just got back from my first international mission trip, and I will never be the same!!

First, let’s back up to review how, exactly, I got involved in this mission trip:

I attended a prophetic conference through Abilene’s TSSM School (Transformational School of Supernatural Ministry) in October of 2012.  At that time, I knew virtually nothing about the active gift of prophecy.  However, the man who was leading the conference called me out to speak a word of prophecy over me during the conference.  I don’t remember much about what he said, as he downloaded information at an incredibly high rate of speed.  But, what I did retain was something to this effect:
“My dear, have you considered missions?  I sure hope so!”
